14 Mile Road is now reopened in both directions. The 14 Mile Road/Northwestern realignment project is just awaiting delivery and installation of traffic light poles. A January 2015 completion is expected.

Beginning in mid-to-late July, 14 Mile Road will be closed at the east side of the intersection with Northwestern Highway while RCOC reconstructs and realigns the east leg of the intersection as the first phase of the larger 14 Mile/Orchard Lake/Northwestern Highway “triangle” project. The detour route for through traffic will be Middlebelt Road to Northwestern Highway and back to 14 Mile and vice versa.

The intersection at Orchard Lake Road and Maple Road will get improvements in 2015 or 2016 per the Road Commission of Oakland County (West Bloomfield, Michigan) – New turn lanes on Orchard Lake Road for traffic going westbound on Maple.
