Road Project Updates
The following major road projects are already underway. (You may have noticed!)
14 Mile Road (Farmington Road to Orchard Lake Road)
This City of Farmington Hills reconstruction project is currently underway. During construction, local access/traffic is being maintained in the eastbound direction only from Farmington Road to Orchard Lake Road to facilitate construction operations. 14 Mile Road will be completely closed to westbound traffic between Farmington Road and Orchard Lake Road. A detour route has been posted for westbound traffic as well as eastbound through traffic. This project is scheduled to be substantially complete and open to traffic in early September. Updates will be forthcoming as information becomes available.
Orchard Lake Road (13 Mile Road to 14 Mile Road)
This Road Commission for Oakland County Project is currently underway. Please note that during construction this section of Orchard Lake Road will be closed to northbound traffic. Traffic and local access will be maintained in the southbound direction only. Two southbound lanes will remain open, however, there may be occasions when southbound is reduced to one lane. A detour route for northbound traffic will be posted utilizing 13 Mile Road to Northwestern Highway and back to Orchard Lake Road.
