5-story apartment complex proposed

The February 18, 2021 Farmington Hills Planning Commission minutes (starting at the very bottom of page 12 through page 17) include a discussion of a proposed five-story, 200-unit multiple family apartment development at 32680 Northwestern Highway, just south of 14 Mile Road. The applicant for this proposal is Robert Asmar of NWH Holdings, LLC.

A public hearing is scheduled for Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 7:30 pm at Farmington Hills City Hall, City Council Chambers, 31555 Eleven Mile Road, Farmington Hills, MI 48336. (City Hall is on the southwest corner of Eleven Mile Road and Orchard Lake Road.)

The Farmington Hills Planning Commission will give formal consideration to a proposed Planned Unit Development (PUD) Plan 3, 2021. The applicant seeks approval of a PUD Plan to construct a five story, 202-unit multiple family development in a B-2 Community Business District, and a B-3 General Business District.

Location of proposed development

The property involved is located at 32680 Northwestern Hwy., and being more particularly described as: Parcel Identification Number: 23-02-126-130, City of Farmington Hills, Oakland County, Michigan.

Any person who is interested [including West Bloomfield residents] is invited to participate in the discussion of the request in person at the scheduled meeting, or written comments may be submitted to the City of Farmington Hills Planning Department, 31555 W. Eleven Mile Road, Farmington Hills, MI 48336, during regular business hours prior to the Public Hearing. The application may be reviewed at the Planning Office on any business day between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
