Get a preview of your USPS mail each day

Informed Delivery® by USPS®

Subscribing to Informed Delivery® can help you know if important pieces of mail or packages are arriving in advance.

Not sure you’re getting all the mail you’re supposed to each day? Eager to know if your check from Social Security (or elsewhere) will arrive in today’s mail? Maybe you could just skip walking out to your mailbox during bad weather if you knew today’s mail was just solicitations.

Informed Delivery is a free service offered by the United States Postal Service (USPS)® that allows you to receive email notifications that include images of the outside of your household’s mail.* The images of your mail are also available via an online dashboard or the Informed Delivery mobile app. USPS is using existing automation equipment to deliver these digital images, so signing up for Informed Delivery does not delay your mail in any way.

Informed Delivery® users can also view the delivery status of packages, provide USPS Delivery Instructions™, and schedule redelivery all from the online dashboard.  Once you complete an identity verification process, which ensures that only you can see your household’s mail, you can start seeing what is coming to your mailbox— at any time and from anywhere.

Digitally preview your mail and manage your packages scheduled to arrive soon! Informed Delivery® allows you to view greyscale images of the exterior, address side of letter-sized mailpieces and track packages in one convenient location. (Images are only provided for letter-sized mailpieces that are processed through USPS’ automated equipment.)

To sign up for this free service: Simply go to informeddelivery.usps.com to create an account with your name, mail address, and email address for your notifications. Then just verify your identity. Then you can check your email or USPS app each morning to preview your mail due to arrive soon.
