• Guest speaker to discuss the planned roundabout

According to plans developed by the Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC), a roundabout will be build at Fourteen Mile Road and Orchard Lake Road. Also, as part of the Northwestern Connector project, Fourteen Mile Road will be reconfigured significantly. The section between Heather Heath Lane and Northwestern Highway will be permanently closed. Fourteen Mile Road will be turn south at Heather Heath and intersect with Northwestern Highway.

The project will begin this year (2013) with preliminary work to move utilities in the construction area. Heavy construction is planned for the 2014 construction season.

At our Annual Meeting on Tuesday, February 12th, a representative from the Road Commission will describe the project and and answer questions. Drawings of the project will be displayed.

This may be the only opportunity to have specific and detailed questions answered regarding the project’s impact on Kimberley North. Further informational meetings will be held by RCOC but they will most likely be of a broader nature and not limited to Kimberley North subdivision.

Please attend this important meeting and be prepared to voice your concerns and provide input. We encourage you to bring a neighbor and adult family members.
